GATOR & the ALL-STARS
WE ROCK
THE 50s-60s-70s-80s
NOW IN GEORGIA!

Gator & George Thorogood

Vocals and slide guitar master

At a casino gig with George. We had a great time that weekend. The Destroyers still rock big-time!

Gator & Buddy Guy

Guitar

Not only one of the greatest guitarists in history, Buddy is also one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet. He's Chicago thru-and-thru, but he loves Texas blues and rock and honored me by saying, "Gator you're another one of those Texas blues guitar slingers--- it must be in the water down there."

Gator & Pinetop Perkins

Piano

A great night with the man himself. The Grammy for best blues or jazz piano is now called "the Pinetop Perkins Award." The last time I was with Pine, we had a great night and, sadly, a year later he passed before I could visit with him again. Such an immense talent and such a sweetheart."

Gator & Jimmie Vaughan

Guitar

From my days in Austin, thru my casino years and now back in Texas, Jimmie has been one constant. Amazing true blues artist, superb band leader, and super good guy full of humility. If you don't know how good he is, he's the guy that Clapton chose to play at his wedding party in London a few years ago.

ABOUT
Gator & the All-Stars are an American band, originally based in Texas now in Georgia.  The band's roots run deep from rock, blues, jazz, country, and Americana. Gator's bands music has been used in 3 Hollywood movies and was the featured band at the International Juneteenth celebration which was broadcast to 42 countries live with Ms. Opal Lee and the US President.

But their real strength is their live events from bars to festivals to concerts to weddings. They feed off the fun of the crowd and it makes their events "real" and fresh every time. You never hear the same song the same way.

“Gator and the guys are amazing with their music. The talent shines through and their dedication to their craft is inspiring. Gator, keep doing what you love and know that your music is making an impact.”
--Macklin Stern (CBS - NY Entertainment Journalist)

“Gator & the All-Stars is a quintet that is the busiest band in Granbury and one of the busiest in Texas. With over 70 performances year after year, their mix of hits from the 50s to the 80s keeps people coming back for more.”
– Hood County News

“Musically, Gator and the boys are special. You hear hits, but not the same old tired songs that everyone else plays. When was the last time you heard a band that pulled off excellent renditions of Stones, Van Morrison, Beatles, Chicago, Allmans, Eagles, Tom Petty, and Jerry Lee Lewis all in the same set? With these guys, you experience songs that bring back memories. They never push their originals on the audience although several of their originals have attracted international attention this past year.” ----Thomas Louis, DFW music critic

“Gator and the All-Stars are the real deal when it comes to entertainment. They show the ability to use horns, piano and other instruments to enhance the standard guitar, bass, drums and vocals set-up of most bands.”
--Ft. Worth Star Telegram

"We heard them one night and hired them on the spot for our corporate party. Most fun I've had in years."
-- CEO of major Texas corporation
